Lieutenant David J. Darin



David Darin was appointed Lieutenant of the Kohler Police Department on September 17, 2001. Lieutenant Darin has over twenty-seven years of sworn law enforcement experience. Prior to his appointment as Lieutenant, he held positions with the the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee Police Department, the City of West Bend Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.

Lieutenant Darin holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with a Criminal Justice major and a minor in Political Science.

Lieutenant Darin is a State Licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), a certified American Heart Association CPR Instructor, and is also a certified Outdoor Emergency Care Instructor for the National Ski Patrol. The Kohler Police Department is actually a state licensed First Responder Unit, responding to all medical calls in the Village. Lieutenant Darin coordinates the training and certification/licensure issues relating to Emergency Medical Services.

Lieutenant Darin spends off time with his family activities such as boating, skiing, youth soccer, little league baseball, and little league basketball.

Lieutenant Darin is a member of the National Ski Patrol, the Wisconsin EMS Association, and the  Wisconsin Chief’s of Police Association.
