Officer Todd Reinemann works throughout the school year
with fifth grade students to develop the skills taught in the CounterAct program.

GOALS AND OBJECTIONS OF COUNTERACT:

Goal:
To help upper elementary students learn skills to resist pressure to use alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs, and to make positive choices. CounterAct involves local police departments, elementary schools, and parents in a cooperative effort.

  • Seven student activities, three of which are completed as homework assignments with parents or other adults.
  • A set of posters to be used in classroom and parent sessions.
  • A set of 79 35mm slides which provide structure and organization to the five CounterAct sessions.
